Too Close to God
for the buried ones

We are close. We are very close.
The Hubble telescope has revealed still more galaxies and the beginnings
of their answers.

We've cloned sheep and more.
We're next.
But, you say, there are laws against cloning.
We're next.

We will become reversed Mr. Potato Heads—
sticking homegrown organs in all the wrong places.

We will become ourselves again and again.
We will know how to do this.

We will know ourselves from the inside out
and beyond space from the outside in.

We will know it all.

We have become too close to God.
We will know His secrets. He will keep them from us.

He will protect Himself by burying the galaxy that is each of us
beneath the rubble that we wrought.

It is in the Prophecies. All of them.
He will have us do His work.

He has already begun. We have already begun.

Just listen for the silence
beneath the rubble
